This Privacy Policy explains how Flapflop (“Flapflop”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, protects, and otherwise processes personal information when you use flapflop.com and related Flapflop services (collectively, the “Platform”).

Flapflop is intended for users internationally. We do not intentionally require special-category or sensitive personal data as a standard account-registration field.

Flapflop is a social platform. Information that you voluntarily publish (such as profile details, posts, comments, and clips) is visible to other users. You are responsible for considering what personal information you include in content before publishing it.

6. Service Providers and Data Sharing

We use third-party service providers to operate and maintain Flapflop. Currently, these infrastructure providers include:

Supabase: Database, Authentication, and File/Media Storage
Vercel: Web Hosting, Deployment, and Infrastructure
Resend: Transactional Email Delivery

We do not sell your personal information as a general business practice.

7. International Data Transfers

Flapflop may use service providers whose infrastructure is located outside your country of residence. Where applicable, international data transfers are protected using legally recognized transfer safeguards under the GDPR and applicable KVKK provisions.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. For example, our database uses password hashing mechanisms within Supabase Auth and Row Level Security (“RLS”) policies for data access controls.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. When personal information is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymized.

Rights under the KVKK (Turkey)

Where the KVKK applies, you have the rights set out in Article 11 of Law No. 6698, including learning whether personal data is processed, requesting information, requesting correction, deletion, and objecting to automated analysis results.

Rights under the GDPR (EU / UK)

Where the GDPR applies, you have rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), portability (Art. 20), and objection (Art. 21).

12. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Flapflop uses essential cookies for authentication sessions and platform security. Non-essential tracking or analytics cookies, if introduced in the future, will be governed by our separate Cookie Policy.

Flapflop is not intended for individuals below the minimum legal age permitted under our Terms of Service (minimum 13 years of age). If we learn that personal data of an underage user was collected without legal authorization, it will be promptly deleted.

Flapflop may contain links to third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party platforms.
