Learn how Flapflop works, how content is discovered, and what you can do on the platform.
Flapflop's recommendation system is designed to stay simple and focused on what people actually interact with.
For content consumers, the more you interact with a particular topic or type of content, the more relevant posts you may see in your feed.
For content creators, the tag system helps their posts reach people who are interested in the same topics. When you use relevant tags, your posts can appear to people who regularly interact with those topics.
Our goal is to create a separate experience for everyone — helping people discover content they actually care about while making it easier for creators to reach the people their posts are meant for.
Tags help Flapflop understand what your post is about and help connect it with people interested in the same topics.
Using more relevant tags can increase the number of audiences your post can reach. You don't have to use the same type of tag every time — different tags can help you reach different groups of people.
However, tags should always be related to your post. Using unrelated tags simply to reach a larger audience can result in your post being removed.
Flapflop is focused entirely on video games.
You can share screenshots, game moments, questions, ideas, discoveries, news, discussions, and other content related to video games.
If a post has no meaningful connection to video games, it may be removed. This applies to posts shared through areas such as the main feed, Communities, and Instant. Comments are not subject to this rule in the same way, as they are part of an existing conversation.
If you see content that is unrelated to video games, reporting it is the best way to bring it to our attention.
Reputation is a point system that represents your activity and contribution on Flapflop.
Having a higher Reputation score shows that you are an active member of Flapflop who participates in the platform, contributes to conversations, and spends time engaging with the community. Reputation is not designed to measure someone's value or personality; it is simply a way to show participation and contribution on Flapflop.
You can earn Reputation through different activities, such as creating posts, leaving comments, receiving likes on your posts and comments, gaining followers, joining Communities, and contributing to Communities.
You can also view how much Reputation each activity gives by clicking on your Reputation score.
We want Flapflop to be a genuine and enjoyable place where people can spend their time and participate honestly. Because of this, attempts to artificially increase Reputation through spam, farming, fake activity, or other forms of manipulation are not allowed.
If Reputation is found to have been earned unfairly through these methods, we reserve the right to remove the Reputation gained through them.
Flapflop is currently available as a web platform, and we recommend using it on PC for the best overall experience.
Flapflop is still new, so we don't have a dedicated mobile app yet. A mobile app is something we plan to bring to Flapflop in the future, and the growth and activity of the community will play an important role in when that happens.
Of course, you can still use Flapflop from your phone. Our mobile web experience is designed to be clean, responsive, and easy to use, and we're happy to make Flapflop accessible wherever you are.
However, for the full Flapflop experience and to make the most of everything the platform has to offer, we currently recommend using Flapflop on PC.

If you have a problem, suggestion, question, or simply need help with something, use the Support section.
Your request will be reviewed and you'll receive the necessary response or information.
When you contact Support, you're not talking to a large support team or an automated system. Flapflop is independently developed, so your request can be answered directly by the developer.
Yes. If you decide to leave Flapflop permanently, you can delete your account from the Settings page using the Delete Account option at the bottom.
Deleting your account removes your account and the data associated with it from Flapflop. Your posts, comments, memberships, and other account-related information will be removed according to Flapflop's data deletion process.
Once your account is deleted, the developer cannot access your deleted account data through Flapflop. We're sorry to see you go, but the decision is always yours.
